Computer animation is now one of the most effective analytical tools available and is extremely versatile.
To achieve the movement effect, a series of images known as keyframes are sequenced chronologically in relation to the movement to be depicted and then composed on the time axis to form the developing animation.
Each frame is replaced by the one after it chronologically at an average frequency of 24/30 FPS (Frames Per Second).
The animation is created with the following process:
- 3D model made by CAD 3D/3D modelling
- attribution of correct materials and surface characteristics to single bodies
- rigging, i.e. binding, of keyframes
- texturing, i.e. creating surface textures, of keyframes
- painting, i.e. colouring, keyframes
